Kissa Matcha Supermodel’s Secret + Recipe

 Hey, welcome back!

Today’s blogpost is all about matcha, the green tea powder that you see everywhere at the moment. Matcha is one of the biggest health trends at the moment. It is the perfect alternative to your daily cup of coffee, amazing to put in your smoothie and also a great ingredient to cook with!

The first time that I got in contact with Matcha was when I visited a tea boutique in Hamburg. I decided to buy a small package to give it a try. I got to know Matcha as a tea, drunken during a tea ceremony. The taste of it always seemed a bit grassy to me, but after a while I got used to the taste. The reason why I love using Matcha is because of all its health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. One cup of the green super tea contains as much nutrients as 10 cups of green tea! Can you believe that?

While shopping at Hamburg’s luxurious Alsterhaus I spotted the brand KISSA. The spirit of KISSA is inspired by Japan, the land of Matcha and green tea. Japan has always been the home of the most elegant and aesthetic tea culture. In Japanese ”KISSA” means ”drinking tea’‘. The heart of KISSA is in Vienna, the place for taste and flavour. A city known for its exquisite food, the organic lifestyle and a healthy lifestyle. When I visited KISSA’s website I was blown away by their option of organic Matcha’s. Their website features several inspiring recipe’s and guides about Matcha and in the webshop you will find several products like Matcha Supermodel’s Secret, Matcha Focus and Matcha Skinny.

Matcha Supermodel’s Secret

Always fascinated glowing skin and working on beauty from within, I decided to go for Matcha Supermodel’s Secret. If you want to enjoy the beautifying benefits of organic Matcha tea, this is the one! I have been looking for a Matcha tea that will nourish me and promote beauty and well-being. What I’ve noticed while using the Supermodel’s Secret in my routine for the last couple of weeks is that I got more energy and that my skin has become more bright and clear. I have been using the Matcha in my smoothies and have been eating it in my favorite ‘‘Glow-ghurt”! (keep reading for my recipe). When drunken on its own like a real Matcha tea you will  experience a sweet and fruity flavour instead of the usual grassy taste. One cup of Matcha a day will make your skin glow all the way!

As some of you might know, I love to cook and make healthy meals for me & my friends. I have been trying to create a delicious, nourishing breakfast for quite some time and decided to experience with something new. After doing some research and trying some things in the kitchen I created my Glow-ghurt. It’s a dairy free yoghurt mix which will nourish you, has some crunch and tastes sweet. The perfect way to start your day!

200 gram of Soy Yoghurt ( I use Alpro Simply Plain )
1 tea spoon of KISSA Matcha Supermodel’s Secret
2 tea spoons of Raw Honey
6 walnuts (or raw almonds)
1 handfull of Bio blueberries

1. Put your Yoghurt of choice in a small bowl. Add the Matcha together with the Raw honey and stir till the yoghurt gets an overall light green color.

2. Crack the shelled walnuts and cut them into small pieces. Wash blueberries to make sure you get rid of all possible toxins. Add your toppings of choice and stir them together with the Yoghurt.

The reason why I love eating this ”Glow-ghurt” is because of all its health- and beauty benefits. The Soy Yoghurts is 100% plant-based and rich in plant protein. It is a source of calcium, contains vitamin b12 and vitamin D. KISSA’s Supermodel’s Secret is rich in antioxidants which protect us from free radicals (which can cause wrinkles!) and together with the Raw Honey is full of amino acids, minerals and enzymes. Walnuts are great for heart function due to its omega-3 and supports bone health, where blueberries are loaded with vitamin C, which is crucial for collagen production!
